How to make AI videos on your phone, without a computer

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Install Rift on your iPhone. To remake a video, tap Share on any TikTok, Reel or Short and pick Rift; to start fresh, tell Spark, Rift's video agent, what you want in a sentence. Add a photo if you or your pet should be in it. Spark plans the shot and shows a Draft; tap Make. The video is saved to your Library, ready to post.

Rift makes the whole video on your iPhone: share a video or describe an idea, add a photo if someone should be in it, and tap Make. No computer or editing app is needed.

Three ways to start

Step by step

  1. Start one of the three ways above.
  2. Add who stars: your photo, a friend who agrees, your pet, your product, or a saved character.
  3. Check the Draft. It’s Spark’s plan, with the price on the Make button.
  4. Make. You can leave the app.
  5. Post from your Library to any app.
