How to make a haunted house video of your own home

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Take a wide photo of your house at dusk, add it in Rift and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, what haunts it: fog, flickering windows, a ghost at the door. Spark keeps your home and adds the scare. Check the Draft and tap Make for a video of up to 15 seconds.

Add a photo of your home and tell Spark the haunting, such as a light in the attic and something at the window. The house stays yours.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Photograph the house wide, with a little sky.
  2. Add it in Rift and say what haunts it.
  3. Keep the place: “keep the house as in the photo”.
  4. Check the Draft and tap Make.
  5. Find it in your Library and post it.

Tips

Questions people ask

Will it keep my real house?

Say "keep the house as in the photo" and Spark adds the haunting without changing the building.

Can I make it friendly for kids?

Yes. Say the mood: a smiling ghost and glowing pumpkins, not a scare.

Can I use a friend's house?

Use your own, or ask them first.

Can I add fog or a glowing window?

Yes. Name the effect, like fog, a light in the attic or something at the window, and check the Draft.
