A photo of you and a line about the place is enough for Spark to build a nature scene around you, from a waterfall to the northern lights, without the trip.
For other places, see how to put yourself in any place.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A clear photo of yourself, ideally standing, full or waist up.
- A place and a time: waterfall at dawn, rainforest in mist, aurora over a frozen lake.
Step by step
- Add your photo. Open Rift and add it.
- Name the place. Add the weather, the light and your move.
- Check the Draft. Spark shows the shots.
- Make. Tap Make. See the price on the button.
- Save. The video is in your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Me standing at the edge of a tall waterfall in a green valley, mist rising, camera slowly pulling back.”
- “Me walking along a wooden path through a misty rainforest, birds flying.”
- “Me in a warm coat on a frozen lake under green northern lights, looking up.”
- “My dog on a mossy rock beside a stream, golden morning light.”
- “Me and my partner on a cliff at sunrise with clouds below.”
Tips for a clean result
- Wear what suits the place. A coat for the aurora, light clothes for the jungle.
- Pick a slow move. Pull back, push in or orbit.
- Name the scale. “Tall waterfall” and “wide valley” give depth.
- Be honest when posting. Say it is a made scene if you share it as travel.

Deserts, canyons, beaches, lavender fields and alpine meadows follow the same steps.
