Share your own clip and name the look, such as anime, clay or comic book, and Spark redraws it with the same motion. No frame-by-frame work.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A clip of your own, in your camera roll or on a video app you can Share from.
- A style in mind: anime, clay, comic, watercolour or paper cut-out.
Step by step
- Share or add your clip. Tap Share on the video and choose Rift, or add it from your camera roll.
- Tell Spark the style. One line is enough, for example “anime, soft colours”.
- Check the Draft. Spark plans the shots and shows a Draft, with the price on the Make button.
- Make. Tap Make. You can leave the app, and Spark tells you when it is ready.
- Compare looks. Try a second style on the same clip and see which one fits.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Turn this into anime, same moves, soft pastel colours.”
- “Make it look like clay, like a stop-motion film.”
- “Comic book style, bold outlines, keep the camera.”
- “Watercolour, loose and wet, keep the walk.”
- “My dog’s zoomies as a children’s picture book.”
- “My car on the road, drawn as retro ink art.”
Tips for a clean restyle
- Pick a clip with a clear subject. One person or animal against a simple background gives the cleanest lines.
- Steady beats shaky. A tripod or a still hand makes the new style hold together.
- Light matters. Good, even light helps the shapes read in any style.
- Name one look. “Anime” is clear. “Anime comic clay” is a muddle.
- Keep it short. Five to eight seconds of the best moment is enough.
Choosing a style that fits the clip
Not every look suits every clip. Fast action, like a skate trick or a dance, suits anime and comic, because both are built to show motion. Slow, calm moments, like a walk by the sea or a cat on a windowsill, suit watercolour and picture book. Clay suits objects and small gestures: a mug turning, hands cooking, a toy car rolling.
Think about the face too. If a close-up of you matters, try a soft style first and see how much of you stays. If your clip is mostly a place, you can push the style harder.
When you are not sure, make two versions of the same clip in different styles and keep the one you would post. Each Make shows its price before you tap, so you can choose how many to try. Your original stays in your camera roll either way.
Beyond the obvious
Restyling suits a wedding walk down the aisle as a watercolour, a product turntable as clay, or a family trip as a comic strip.
