How to use TikTok trends for your small business without filming

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Find a trend that fits your business, share it into Rift, and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, what replaces what: 'same dance, but it's our barista' or 'swap the sneakers for our product'. Add photos of your product, shop, team or mascot. Spark keeps the trend's format. Check the Draft and tap Make for up to 15 seconds, then post with the trend's sound.

Share a trend into Rift and say what replaces what, and the trend becomes about your business. For the basic steps, see how to remake any trend with you in it.

Tips

Questions people ask

Which trends suit a business?

Ones where an object, a place or a reaction can be yours: reveals, before and afters, transformations, POVs.

Do I need to be on camera?

No. Use the product, the shop, a mascot or a team member who agrees.

Do I have to use the trend's sound?

Rift makes the video without sound, and sound isn't in the app yet. Add the trend's sound in the app where you post.

Can I reuse a trend for every product?

Yes. Save the Draft as a format and run it with each product photo.
