Rift makes the dance as one clip of up to 15 seconds from a full-body photo of you; the beat cuts and the song come in your posting app. Name the dance, or share the clip and have Spark copy the moves.
How the format works
- The dance. A short routine built around the song’s repeated line.
- The montage. Many short clips of different people or places, cut to the beat.
- The look. Bright, close and quick, with each shot over in a moment.
- The ending. The last clip often lands on the final beat.
Why it works
Every clip is short, so there is always something new on screen, and a montage gives every person in a group their own moment. It also rewards a viewer for watching to the end.
Make your own in Rift
- Open Rift and add a clear full-body photo of one person.
- Share the dance video you like to Rift so Spark can follow the moves.
- Tell Spark: “Me doing this dance outside a shop, full body, camera still, bright daylight.”
- Check the Draft and tap Make.
- Repeat with other photos, then join the clips and add the sound in your posting app.
Rift makes one shot of up to 15 seconds at a time. For the dance step, see group dance video from one photo.
Ideas for a new take
- One clip each for you, a friend, a pet and a toy.
- A row of matching outfits in a car park.
- A birthday group, one person per clip.
- A shop team, one shot at each counter.
Keep it fun
Ask before you use a friend’s photo, and keep it clear it is made for fun.
