Add a photo of yourself and describe the shot: you walk calmly toward the camera while a fireball blooms behind you. You get an action-movie clip of up to 15 seconds. See also the story of what the trend is.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of yourself: face visible, good light.
- A place: a street, a car park, a desert road, a rooftop.
Step by step
- Add your photo. Open Rift and add it.
- Tell Spark the scene. Where you walk, what you wear and what blows up.
- Check the Draft. Spark shows the shots and keeps you as the subject.
- Make. Tap Make. The price is on the button first.
- Save. The video is in your Library.
If you saw a clip you want to remake, tap Share on it and pick Rift. For other settings, see how to put yourself in any place.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Me in a leather jacket walking toward the camera down a city street while a fireball goes up behind me. I don’t look back.”
- “My dog trotting out of a gas station as it explodes, slow motion.”
- “Me and my brother walking away from a blazing warehouse at dusk.”
- “Me on a desert road, a truck explodes behind me, dust and sparks.”
- “Me stepping out of a car in a car park, a building flares in the background.”
Tips for a clean result
- Use a full-body or waist-up photo. Spark needs to see what you wear.
- Pick calm body language. Slow walking reads calmer than running.
- Say the camera. Front-facing and low gives the film look.
- Choose a setting with depth. Long streets and open roads hold the blast.
Beyond explosions
The same steps work for a lightning strike, a meteor, a tidal wave or confetti.
