Add a photo of your pet and a dance clip, and Spark makes your pet do the dance. You don’t need to train anything. For the general method, see AI motion transfer on iPhone.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of your pet: face visible, eyes open, daylight if you can. A photo that shows the whole body helps for a full dance.
- A dance to follow. Either a clip you saw, or a plain description like “a slow shuffle”.
- Optional: a photo of the costume or hat.
Step by step
- Pick the dance. Open a dance video you like and tap Share, then Rift. No clip handy? Open Rift and tell Spark the move in words.
- Add your pet. Spark asks who should star. Pick your pet’s photo from your camera roll.
- Say what to change. One line is enough: the costume, the room, the mood. Spark plans the shots and shows a Draft.
- Check the Draft. Read what Spark will keep and what it will swap. Reply if you want a change.
- Make. Tap Make. You can leave the app. Spark tells you when it’s ready, and the video is saved to your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Put my corgi in this dance, same moves, same kitchen.”
- “My cat in a tiny tuxedo, slow disco spin.”
- “Two dogs in matching hoodies doing this shuffle.”
- “My rescue greyhound as a rockstar, big stage lights, same dance.”
- “My grandmother’s old tabby in a ballgown, waltz in the hallway.”
Tips for a clean result
- Photo first. Blurry or dark photos give a fuzzy pet. Crouch to their eye level and shoot near a window.
- Plain background in the photo. A pet against a cluttered sofa blends in. A clean wall or floor separates them.
- Match the body. A dance with big arm moves suits an upright pose; a slither or a waddle suits a four-legged one. Say “four paws” if you want them on the ground.
- Keep costumes simple. One hat or one outfit reads clearly in 15 seconds; a full wardrobe does not.
- Short loops post well. Ask for a dance that ends where it starts so the video can repeat cleanly.
Beyond dancing
The same steps put your pet on a surfboard, in a school play or behind a drum kit. Swap the dance for anything with a clear move and tell Spark who the star is. A parrot, a rabbit or a horse works the same way as long as the photo is sharp.
