How to make your whole family dance from one holiday photo

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add one family photo where everyone's face is clear to Rift, then share a dance clip or describe the dance to Spark. Spark matches each person to a dancer, plans the shots and shows a Draft. Tap Make and the family dances for up to 15 seconds in your Library. Only use photos of people who are happy to be in it.

Add the holiday photo and a dance clip, and everyone in the picture dances. The matching jumpers stay.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add the photo to Rift. If you have a dance clip, tap Share on it and choose Rift, then add the photo.
  2. Tell Spark who goes where.
  3. Check the Draft. Spark plans the shots. The price is on the Make button.
  4. Tap Make. You can leave and come back.
  5. Save it from Library and send it to the family chat.

Questions people ask

Can everyone keep their matching jumpers?

Yes. Say what you want people to wear, for example matching holiday jumpers, and check the Draft before you tap Make.

What if someone is facing away?

Spark needs faces to match. Use a photo where everyone looks forward.

Can I choose who dances where?

Yes. Say 'Grandma in the middle, kids at the front'.

Can I send it as a card?

Yes. Save it from your Library and send it to the family.

Is it okay to post?

Ask the people in the photo first, especially children.
