Add a selfie and name the miniature look, such as a toy box or a glass of water. Pictures can come in up to 4 versions at once, so you can pick your favourite.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A full-length photo of yourself (or someone or something else).
- An idea of where the tiny version lives.
Step by step
- Choose the photo. A standing pose with the whole body visible gives the cleanest figure.
- Tell Spark the scene. For example, a boxed toy figure with a window front, or a tiny you sitting on a lemon slice.
- Ask for versions. Up to 4 versions at once lets you pick the most charming.
- Review the Draft. The price shows on the Make button. Tap Make.
- Save and share. Keep it in Library, or use Turn into a video for a small, gentle movement.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Turn me into a boxed action figure with a name on the pack.”
- “Make me a tiny person sitting in a glass of iced tea.”
- “Tilt-shift this street photo so it looks like a model town.”
- “Put my dog in a toy box with tiny accessories.”
- “A miniature of my car in a display case, with a price tag.”
Tips
- Think about the props. A toy box needs a label, small accessories and a backing card. Name two or three.
- Pick clear lighting. Even light on the original helps the miniature look believable.
- Use a high viewpoint for tilt-shift. Photos taken from above, such as from a balcony, give the strongest model effect.
- Keep the colours bright. Saturated, playful colours read as toys. Dull tones read as ordinary photos.
- Ask for a size cue. A coin, a fork or a coffee cup next to the figure sells the scale.
Beyond people
A tiny version of your product on a shelf, your cat in a matchbox, your cafe as a model town. If it can be photographed, it can be miniaturised.
