How to make a "we moved" or housewarming announcement video

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of your new front door, or of you with the keys, and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, the moment: the door opens, a welcome wreath, boxes in the hall, a happy wave. Check the Draft, tap Make, and send a video of up to 15 seconds. Add the address or date in your messaging app.

Add a photo of your new front door and tell Spark the scene. You get a short announcement video that is easier to notice than a text.

Tips

Questions people ask

Can I put the new address on the video?

Text over video isn't in the app yet. Add the address in your message or your posting app.

Should I show my real front door publicly?

Think before posting a number or street. A private chat for invites is safer than a public post.

Can the whole family be in it?

Yes. Add each person's photo, with their OK, and say who stands where.

Can I make a housewarming invite?

Yes. Show a table, lights and an open door, then share the details in your message.
