Name the human life, add one photo of your pet, and your pet keeps its own face while the world around it turns human: a cat with a morning commute, a dog who runs the front desk, a hamster who made partner.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of your pet, face to camera.
- A short idea of the life: a job, a place, a mood.
Step by step
- Open Rift and tell Spark the life. One sentence: who the pet is and what they do.
- Add your pet’s photo. Spark uses it to keep the face and coat.
- Pick the moment. A video is one shot, so choose the scene that sells the joke: arriving at work, signing the paperwork, opening the champagne.
- Read the Draft. Spark shows the shots it plans. Change the outfit or the room by replying.
- Make. Tap Make, leave the app if you like, and find it in your Library when Spark says it’s ready.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My tabby is a barista, steaming milk behind a busy counter.”
- “My beagle in a suit, stepping out of a taxi outside an office tower.”
- “My black cat as a night-shift detective in a rainy city street.”
- “My parrot opening a sports car door like it just got promoted.”
- “My elderly spaniel on a retirement cruise, sunhat on, sunset on the deck.”
Tips for a clean result
- One role, one place. A single clear job reads in 15 seconds. A career montage does not fit.
- Keep the camera simple. Ask for a slow push-in or a still wide shot. Busy camera moves blur small animals.
- Dress to the role. Name one prop (a tie, an apron, sunglasses). Props carry the story, set dressing does not.
- Use a sharp photo. Light on the face, eyes open, nose in focus.
- Think in a series. Different roles on different days make a page people follow.
Other lives to try
Give a pet a hobby (surfing, gardening), a milestone (graduation, a wedding) or an awkward pose of power (CEO chair spin). The same recipe works for a friend’s pet, a toy, or a statue in your garden.
