A cat in a chef hat is a small joke that lands every time. The hard part used to be the kitchen set, the costume and a cat who does not sit still. Here your cat stays on the sofa and the kitchen comes to the photo.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of your cat: face to camera, eyes open, even light.
- A dish and a kitchen in mind. A pizza oven, a ramen counter and a birthday cake all read well.
- Optional: a photo of a real dish or your own kitchen, if you want it in the scene.
Step by step
- Open Rift and talk to Spark. Say the job in one line: who the cat is, what they cook and where.
- Add your cat. Pick the photo from your camera roll. If you will use this cat again, add them as a character once from a few photos.
- Check the Draft. Spark plans the shots and shows what it will keep and what it will change. Reply if the dish or the mood is off.
- Make. The price is on the button before you tap. You can leave the app, and Spark tells you when it is ready. It lands in your Library.
- Try a second version. Change the dish or the kitchen and Make again. A stopped Make is not charged.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My grey tabby as a head chef flipping a pancake in a tiny diner kitchen.”
- “My cat in a tall white hat, stirring a huge pot of soup, steam everywhere.”
- “My black cat as a sushi chef behind a wooden counter, calm and serious.”
- “My ginger cat decorating a birthday cake and looking proud.”
- “My cat as a pizza chef, flour on the whiskers, wood oven glowing behind.”
Tips for a chef cat that reads well
- One dish, one move. Flipping, stirring or plating is clear in 15 seconds. A full five-course service is not.
- Say the mood. Calm and serious is funnier than frantic for most cats. Say which you want.
- Keep the outfit short. A hat and an apron are enough.
- Mind the paws. Say whether the cat stands up like a person or stays on the counter on four paws.
- Show the food. Name the dish. A vague “cooking” gives a vague kitchen.
