How to play every part in a skit without filming each one

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Save yourself as a character in Rift, then tell Spark, Rift's video agent, the scene with every role as you: 'me as the customer, me as the waiter, me as the manager, all in one restaurant, the waiter drops the plate'. Change outfits per role so they read apart. Check the Draft and tap Make for a short skit up to 15 seconds.

Save yourself as a character once, then name every role in one line to Spark: the customer, the waiter, the manager, all you.

Step by step

  1. Save yourself as a character from a few photos.

Tips

Questions people ask

How do people tell the roles apart?

Give each role a clear outfit or prop: an apron, a suit, a cap.

Can the characters talk?

Voice isn't in the app yet. Skits that work silently, or with text you add when posting, fit best.

How many roles fit in one video?

Two or three is clearest in a 15-second shot.

Do I need a separate photo for each role?

No. Save yourself as a character once, then name the role and outfit for each part in your line.
