How to replace a person in a photo with yourself or someone else

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add the photo in Rift and a clear photo of who should be in it, then tell Spark, Rift's video agent, who to replace: 'swap the man on the bench for me, same pose'. Spark keeps the place, pose and light and changes the person. Ask for up to four versions, tap Make, and pick the best. Turn it into a video if it should move.

Add a photo and a clear photo of who should be in it, and Spark swaps one person for another and keeps everything else the same. For video, see swapping a face or person in a video.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add both photos in Rift.
  2. Say who to replace and who goes in.
  3. Keep the scene: “same pose, same light”.
