Share a video and say what to change, such as night, snow or the year 1985, and Spark keeps the moves with the new setting. For the basics, see how to remake any trend with you in it.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- The video you want to remake: from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or your camera roll. One that is yours, or one you are remaking for fun.
- A clear idea of the change, in a few words.
Step by step
- Open the video. Pick one with a clear background and steady camera.
- Share it into Rift. Tap Share, then Rift. Spark watches the clip.
- Say the change. Tell Spark in one line: “Same video, but at night in the snow.”
- Add yourself if you want. Add a photo to be in it. Skip this if you only want a new setting.
- Check and Make. The Draft shows the plan and the price on the Make button. Tap Make. The result lands in your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Same video, but at night with street lights and wet pavement.”
- “Make it a snowy morning, everyone in coats.”
- “Move this to a beach at sunset, keep the moves.”
- “Make it look like the 1980s, bright jackets, a boxy TV set.”
- “Same drive, but it’s raining and the car is a vintage convertible.”
Tips
- Choose a clip where the background is simple. A wall, a street or a field is easier to change than a crowded café.
- Describe what changes with it. Snow means coats, breath and bare trees. Night means lights and shadows. Name them.
- Keep the main action the same. The more you change at once, the less recognisable the original becomes.
- Pick a decade by its details. “1980s” works best with a cue: “neon, shoulder pads, a cassette player”.
- Try a mood swing. A cheerful clip in a stormy, moody setting gives a very different video from the same moves.
Beyond trends
Use it on your own videos too: your holiday clip as a winter version, a product shot in a different season, your dog’s run in an old film look.
