Add a photo of yourself, tell Spark the welcome scene, and send families a video of up to 15 seconds before the first bell. For another school moment, see a back-to-school first-day video.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of you, facing the camera, smiling.
- A scene: your classroom door, a sunny playground, a library corner.
Step by step
- Add your photo in Spark, or add yourself as a character.
- Say the scene. Name the room, the light and what you do.
- Check the Draft. Ask for a calmer scene or a different outfit.
- Make. Tap Make. The price is shown on the Make button before you tap.
- Share from your Library through your school’s usual channel.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Me waving at the classroom door, bright board behind me, morning light.”
- “Me holding a stack of colourful books in the library, smiling.”
- “My class mascot, a friendly fox, waving beside the door.”
- “The classroom plants in the window, a wave from the teacher.”
- “Me by the school gate with a welcome banner and balloons.”
Tips
- Keep it short. Five to eight seconds is enough for a hello.
- Keep children out. Use yourself, the room or a mascot.
- Use your usual look. Families should recognise you on day one.
- Send it before the term starts. It works as a warm-up.
