Vanishing and floating are two of the simplest effects to understand and the hardest to film. You need a locked camera, an empty shot and a lot of editing. With Rift, you describe it.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One clear photo of the person, pet or object, with space around it.
- The ending: an empty room, a drifting cloud, a soft landing.
Step by step
- Add the photo to Rift.
- Name the effect and the ending in one line.
- Check the Draft. The price is on the Make button.
- Tap Make. Watch it in Library.
- Tune. If the vanish looks abrupt, ask for a slower fade and Make again.
Lines to try with Spark
- “I vanish in a puff of grey smoke and the room is empty.”
- “I float a metre off the floor with my arms out, hair drifting up.”
- “My dog fades into sparkles, then trots back in.”
- “My mug lifts off the table, spins once and settles.”
- “I levitate above a sunny field, then drift down.”
Tips
- Start with an empty-looking background. The vanish reads cleaner.
- Say the ending. “Empty room, curtain still moving” gives the shot a finish.
- Leave space. For levitation, a photo with room above the head helps.
- Do one effect at a time. Add a second video if you want another.
