Make two short clips, one for what you expected and one for what really happened, and show them side by side in your posting app. Each clip is its own Draft in Rift.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A photo of the thing you expected, or just a description.
- A photo of what you got, if you have one.
Step by step
- Open Spark and describe the expectation: the perfect version.
- Check the Draft and tap Make. This is clip one.
- Start again with the reality, ideally from your own photo of how it turned out.
- Check that Draft and tap Make for clip two.
- Find both in your Library and join them in the app you post from.
Lines to try with Spark
- “A glossy three-tier cake on a marble table, soft light, slow push in.”
- “The same cake, lopsided and leaning, icing sliding off, slow push in,” with a photo of the real one.
- “A neat desk setup with plants and a warm lamp,” then “my actual desk, cables everywhere.”
- “My dog sitting calmly in a bow tie,” then “my dog covered in mud, mid shake.”
- “A quiet beach holiday at sunrise,” then “the same beach in heavy rain, one umbrella.”
Tips
- Match the camera move in both halves so the cut feels like a pair.
- Keep both clips the same length. Short and equal reads cleanly.
- Let the second clip be a little too real. Small details are the joke.
