How to make a promo video for your gym or personal training

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of your gym floor, studio or yourself mid-session in Rift and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, the scene, such as a trainer racking a barbell as the lights come up. Check the Draft, tap Make, and you get a video of up to 15 seconds to post for new members.

Add a photo of your gym, your gear or yourself, and tell Spark the shots. You get a short promo video that shows how it feels to walk in.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add a photo of the space or of you, or just start typing.
  2. Tell Spark the action: a lift, a battle rope, a jump rope.
  3. Check the Draft. Keep your own gym as it is in the photo.
  4. Tap Make once you have seen the price.
  5. Post from your Library with the offer in the text.

Tips

For form demos, see a fitness workout demo video without filming. For a club, see a team hype video for your club.

Questions people ask

Can I put myself in the video?

Yes. Add a clear photo of you and say what you are doing, such as coaching a squat.

Can the video list prices and class times?

Text over video isn't in the app yet. Put them in the post.

Can I show members?

Only with their OK. Many gyms use an empty floor or their own team.

Can I make a video with no photo?

Yes. Describe the scene in words and Spark sets up a Draft.
