Outfit videos run on one idea: the pose stays still and the clothes change. It is a fun format and a handy shopping tool. You can test a jacket before you buy it, or show a whole week of looks in a few seconds.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A full-length photo of yourself, facing the camera, good light.
- Photos of the outfits: your own, or product shots from a shop.
Step by step
- Add your photo. Start in Rift and pick yourself.
- Add the clothes. Add a photo of each item or look.
- Choose the format. A hard cut, a spin, or a straight try-on.
- Check the Draft. Spark shows the order of looks and the setting.
- Make. Tap Make. Find it in your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Hard cut from my pyjamas to this red dress, same pose, same bedroom.”
- “Put me in this tweed blazer from the photo, walking down a rainy street.”
- “Gym kit to suit in one beat, mirror shot.”
- “Three looks for the wedding: navy suit, linen suit, tuxedo, same stance.”
- “My nan in her best cardigan, then a floral coat, garden bench.”
Tips for a clean result
- Full-length photo. The head-to-toe view helps with fit.
- Plain background. A wall or a door frame. Busy patterns confuse edges.
- Keep the pose. Arms at your sides or a simple lean. Fewer limbs crossing the body.
- Use flat product photos. Clothes laid out or on a mannequin read cleanly.
- Pick colour contrast. Between looks, the change is the hook.
Beyond fashion
Use it for costume ideas, uniform comparisons, a wedding guest planner or a school kit order. Anything worn can be tried on in a photo before the money is spent.
