How to remake a trend video in a different decade, like the 80s or 90s

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Share the trend video to Rift, add a photo of yourself, and tell Spark the era, such as the 1980s with neon lights, big hair and a grainy VHS look. Spark keeps the moves and rebuilds the place, clothes and colours. Check the Draft and tap Make. You get a version of up to 15 seconds in your Library.

Take any dance or walk-and-pose trend and put it in a different decade. The same dance in a 1970s disco is a different post from the same dance in a bedroom. This page is the era version of same trend, new setting. For any trend, see how to remake any trend with you in it.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Share the clip. Tap Share and pick Rift.
  2. Add your photo.
  3. Name the decade. Add the clothes, the place and the picture look.
  4. Check the Draft. Spark shows what stays (the moves) and what changes (the world).
  5. Make. Tap Make. Save to Library.
