How to make a wedding venue or planner video from your photos

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of your venue, ceremony arch or table setting in Rift and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, the scene, such as petals drifting down the aisle at sunset. Check the Draft, tap Make, and you get a video of up to 15 seconds to post for couples who are looking.

Couples choose a venue by how it feels, and a still photo only shows where things stand. A little movement shows the light, the air and the pace of the day.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add the photo of your venue or setup in Rift.
  2. Tell Spark the moment: candles, petals, a curtain in the breeze.
  3. Check the Draft and keep the room as it is.
  4. Tap Make after checking the price on the button.
  5. Post from your Library with how to book in the text.

Tips

For couples sharing their own news, see a save the date video from engagement photos. For afterward, see a wedding guest thank you video.

Questions people ask

Can I use photos of real couples?

Only with their OK. Many planners use their own setup photos with no guests.

Can the video show our name and contact?

Text over video isn't in the app yet. Put your name and enquiry link in the post.

Can I show the venue in another season?

Yes. Ask Spark for autumn leaves or a snowy evening on the same photo.

Can I make one for each package?

Yes. Save the Draft as a format, then run it again with a photo of each setup.
